FIREFIGHTER RECRUITMENT INFORMATION SESSIONS

If you can't make this one a second session is taking place on Thursday, December 6, same time, same place!

The Calgary Fire Department (CFD) will be accepting applications for the position of firefighter from November 30, 2012 to December 30, 2012. Anyone interested in a career in the fire service is invited to attend one of our upcoming information sessions.

You will learn more about the department, the position of firefighter, the application pre-requisites, and the hiring process. Recruitment members will also available to answer your questions.

The Stoney Education Authority is pleased to announce, a Call for Proposals for the Treaty 7 Education Conference 2012 (November 22, 23). All topics are of interest.

We have many talented and knowledgeable staff within the Treaty 7 School Systems. Anyone who wishes to make a presentation at the upcoming Treaty 7 Education conference is asked to send a brief summary of their topic, target audience, preferred size of audience and any other pertinent information. Any topic can be presented but the following are of particular interest:

- student and community wellness,
- practical strategies that can be applied to classroom teaching and student learning
- traditional knowledge

The deadline has been extended to September 28th, 2012.
