Co-Management Liaison

The Co-Management Agreement, made in 1996 with the Minister of Health and Chiefs of Treaties, 6, 7 & 8, provides for conjointly assessing, planning, and managing the administration of the Regional Envelope. (This is unique to Alberta).

The role of the Co-Management Liaison is to represent the collective interests of Treaty 7 at the technical/ committee level by:

  • working conjointly on health and health related issues
  • ensuring the representation and participation of the Treaty 7 communities and
  • gathering and disseminating relevant information to Treaty 7 communities (programs, health management & leadership)

Recent Co-Management reorganization has left 6 “clustered” Sub-Committees, a temporary Implementation Committee and a new independent Health Secretariat

Our current Co-Management Liaison is Margo Sitting Eagle
